I edited the strip because it seemed to be not reading well. So I changed some stuff up so it hopefully makes a little more sense.
Sorry if it was confusing, I’ll admit that when I did it originally I was super tired and just wanted it done and didn’t really worry about it making sense or not. That’s not a good policy to have and I apologize.

There was no guard in this comic. I believe Isabella shapechanged herself (and REX?!) into the archon’s shape. Thus why the archon in panel 5 looks “fuzzy”.

Even if we can’t see it or tell exactly what happened, it seems to be implied that violence was applied to the construct-thing. Though, we’ve seen in the past how effective that was. Guess we’ll have to wait and see how much better it works when there’s a dire bearwolf involved.
