Welcome to NO DICE!

A few months ago, while I was still doing Stink Child Comics and Squared Circle, my friends and I were bitten by the Dungeons and Dragons bug. As we read through the handbooks and monster manuals, I started getting ideas for stories, but stories that didn’t really fit within the projects I was working on at the time. So I started developing No Dice.

As I was developing this comic, I was getting really excited about doing it. It would be the first comic I attempted that didn’t have its roots in high school. Something completely new. But it was also going to be yet another project and my time was already being taken up by others. And I became resentful of the other comics. They stopped being fun. And really that’s the most important reason to do a comic. But I was nervous about leaving them. They had a history that I didn’t want to leave behind.

After much deliberation in my own mind, I finally decided that it was time to hang them up and focus my attention on the project that was exciting me rather than toiling away at the ones I no longer truly cared for.

This site is still new, so it’s not completely up yet. The about page will have content in the next week or so. I know I’m awful about filling those pages out, but this time I’m determined to not have it sit for 3 years saying “Coming soon.”

I have also set up a personal blog which will be where I post new art or our adventures in D&D, possible new podcasts, really just stuff that I don’t feel like cluttering this page up with. Most of the time the stuff that will go on that blog won’t have anything to do with No Dice.

I’d also like to encourage suggestions from anyone and everyone. What would you like to see in the comic or on the site? Please don’t hesitate to put it in a comment or email me.

I’m really looking forward to this journey and I hope you’ll all enjoy coming along with me.

Good to see old GC getting acting work. It’s been a dream of his for years!

One of the biggest problems I had with my previous comics was never getting around to filling out an about page. I always thought of them as an important part of a webcomic as they give people all the information they’ll need about the comic right from the get-go. Which is very important as people will be discovering the comic at many different points in its lifespan.

This time I’ve decided to do the about page right at the beginning and it’ll be getting updated as the strip goes on, as characters and places are introduced, they’ll be added to the About wiki.

Finally got around to recounting the most recent Dungeons and Dragons game we played. Story and pictures are available over at the blog.
